{"id":34453,"date":"2026-03-17T18:22:55","date_gmt":"2026-03-17T23:22:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alianzapacifico.net\/?p=34453"},"modified":"2026-03-24T18:33:42","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T23:33:42","slug":"pacific-alliance-promotes-shared-care-responsibilities-to-advance-womens-economic-autonomy-in-latin-america","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/noticias.alianzapacifico.net\/en\/pacific-alliance-promotes-shared-care-responsibilities-to-advance-womens-economic-autonomy-in-latin-america\/","title":{"rendered":"Pacific Alliance Promotes Shared Care Responsibilities to Advance Women&#8217;s Economic Autonomy in Latin America"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p align=\"justify\"><b>March 17, 2026.- <\/b>On the occasion of International Women&#8217;s Day, the Pacific Alliance Gender Technical Group held the virtual forum &#8220;Care That Sustains Economies: From Invisible Work to Shared Responsibility for Women&#8217;s Economic Autonomy in the Pacific Alliance.&#8221; The forum highlighted the unpaid domestic and care work performed predominantly by women and promoted a more equitable distribution of this work as a condition for strengthening women&#8217;s economic autonomy.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">The event, livestreamed on March 12 via Zoom, highlighted experiences and best practices that foster greater shared responsibility among the state, the private sector, families, and civil society.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Opening remarks were delivered by T\u00e1mara Matea Ospina Posse, Vice Minister for Women at Colombia&#8217;s Ministry of Equality and Equity, representing the Gender Technical Group&#8217;s coordination, and by Ana Sof\u00eda Rodr\u00edguez Y\u00e1\u00f1ez, Vice Minister for Women at Peru&#8217;s Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations.
