They then approved the\u00a0Project of the Paracas\u2019 Declaration, which will be submitted for consideration by presidents Michelle\u00a0Bachelet, from Chile; Juan Manuel Santos, from Colombia; Enrique Pe\u00f1a Nieto, from M\u00e9xico, and\u00a0Ollanta Humala, from Per\u00fa.<\/p>\n<p>Mexico&#8217;s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jos\u00e9 Antonio Meade, whose country will transfer the Pro\u00a0Tempore Presidency of the mechanism to Peru, made a presentation on the progress that the\u00a0mechanism has achieved in the linking process with the observers and third countries.\u00a0Mr Meade highlighted the cooperation projects with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Development Bank of Latin America (CAF).<\/p>\n<p>The Ministers received, separately, the representatives from Costa Rica and New Zealand,\u00a0in order to discuss about several cooperation projects between the Pacific Alliance and\u00a0those countries.<\/p>\n<p>Within the framework of the Council of Ministers, the cooperation framework agreement for financial support for companies from to the Pacific Alliance member countries was signed. This agreement will help to increase business and promote commercial exchange and investment between\u00a0 the parties, particularly the SMEs related with the export sector.<\/p>\n<p>The Pacific Alliance is a regional integration process formed by Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru\u00a0on April 28th, 2011. It brings together 217 millions of people, with a USD $ 2.1 billion GDP that\u00a0represents 38% of the GDP of Latin America and the Caribbean.\u00a0 The four member countries of this\u00a0alliance concentrate 52% of Latin America and the Caribbean\u2019s extra regional<\/p>\n<p>The Ministers of the Pacific Alliance that attended the meeting were: t&gt;he Minister of Foreign Affairs, Heraldo Mu\u00f1oz, and the Viceminister of Foreign Trade, Andr\u00e9s Rebolledo, from Chile: the Minister of Foreign Trade, Industry and Tourism, Cecilia \u00c1lvarez-Correa, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mar\u00eda \u00c1ngela Holgu\u00edn, from Colombia; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jos\u00e9 Antonio Meade, and the Minister of Economy, Ildefonso Guajardo, from Mexico; the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Magali Silva, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ana Mar\u00eda S\u00e1nchez, from Peru.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Pacific Alliance\u2019s Council of Ministers met today at Paracas, Per\u00fa.
